iSMA-B-MAC36NL is a powerful hybrid IoT Controller, based on Niagara 4, equipped with Multicore Cortex-A Series ARM Processor and 1 GB of RAM. With Internet connectivity and built-in Web-serving capability, iSMA-B-MAC36NL controller provides control, data logging, alarming, scheduling, integration and visualization, and network management.
iSMA-B-MAC36NL is a combination of 36 Input/Outputs, up to two isolated RS485 with selectable both biasing and termination for serial communication with various types of protocols, like Modbus RTU or BACnet MSTP.
Two fully addressable Fast Ethernet Ports with many protocols supported, like BACnet IP, Modbus TCP, LON IP, M-Bus IP, etc. ISMA-B-MAC36NL offers endless possibilities of integration between different systems like HVAC, access control, lighting, CCTV, and many others, thanks to Niagara Framework. Using the specific local I/O set 16x UI, 8x AO, 4x DI and 8x DO allows to use the device in different applications.
Both optoisolated RS485 ports can handle each up to 128 devices with a variety of protocols like Modbus RTU, ASCII, BACnet MS/TP.
Optional built-in M-bus interface allows integration of up to 20 M-bus device

The controller provides control, data logging, alarming, scheduling, integration and visualisation.
Built-in 1x RS485 can be used to expand the number of I/O by connecting iSMA-B-MINI or iSMA-B-MIX series I/O modules or to integrate with other subsystems.
There is an optional hardware version of the controller iSMA-B-MAC36NL-RS with the second RS485 port available and iSMA-B-MAC36NL-M with built-in M-bus interface.
The hardware version with M-Bus interface may be the most suitable version for metering functionality. Up to 20 M-Bus meters can be connected to iSMA-B-MAC36NL-M M-Bus interface. Digital Inputs of iSMA-B-MAC36NL can be used as Fast Pulse Counter up to 100 Hz saved in EEPROM memory for pulse meters. The controller gives a possibility of service M-Bus devices connected by IP, for example through iSMA-B-MG-IP gateway. Up to 128 Modbus meters can be connected to each RS485 port.
